Founded in 1970 by my father, Fotis Kostaris.
As a young teen, I worked with my father part-time. I continued this apprenticeship on a full-time bases into my late teens. For a few years, I worked for other construction companies, all the while honing my skills.
In 1985, my father and I formed a partnership, incorporated the business and completed two large scale projects together. Upon seeing our work, a neighbor wanted to hire Kostaris Construction, Inc., for their project. It was at this time that my father decided that he would like to retire. I submitted a bid and won the contract. This was the start of my solo career. This first project was in 1988 and lasted for five months. I have since done many other projects for the same family.
I have done many projects, large and small all over the Washington Metropolitan area and have worked with a great range of architects.
I have been blessed with creativity and a talent that I am able to show in my work. I take great pride in delivering a quality product to my clients. I very much enjoy my work and have branched off into furniture making as time permits, albeit not as often as I would like.
