Customers Who Return to Kostaris Construction Again, & Again, & Again (& Again!)

Kostaris Construction began first worked with the Burka’s in 1988. We are pleased to have worked many additional projects together since then.

Our first project was a two-story addition and a kitchen remodel.  The second was an attic remodel where we added an upstairs bedroom with dormers.  Next, the front entry way and first floor were completely remodeled with new trim, moldings, foyer and an updated powder room. Fourth, we built another large two-story addition – this time in the rear of the Burka’s home. This was a garage/basement extension with a first-floor remodel with a new second kitchen and  a screened-in porch.  Lastly, we updated the basement by removing some walls to make a more spacious living area and upgraded the bathroom.

Special design challenges

tn_1200_DSC_0259.JPGWe owe our beautiful new kitchen to Angelo.   Smaller spaces, like our kitchen renovation and an earlier bathroom, present special design challenges.  Angelo responded enthusiastically.  He shared his considerable expertise that eliminated the need for an expensive architect.   He recommended cabinet, flooring, heating/cooling and appliance contractors with whom he worked seamlessly to keep the project on budget and on time.  We love our new space and we’re very grateful.

tn_1200_DSC_0278.JPGMy wife and I employed Kostaris Construction to build an addition on our home in 2009.  The project included a new room on the back of our house and the reconfiguring of a basement storage room into a lovely art studio.  Smaller projects included installation of a new HVAC system (a new furnace and an air-conditioning unit) and the creation of a new bath room on the lower floor.

I am totally pleased with the work.  Angelo Kostaris and his crew followed the blueprints from our architect to a tee.  They completed the work in a timely fashion, working diligently but carefully.  Angelo is pleasant to deal with and does what he promises to do.  I have recommended him to friends and will use him again for future projects.

High artisan quality

tn_1200_DSC_0277.JPGOver the past fifteen years the Kostaris Construction Company has completed three major projects in our home.  Each project has been meticulously planned, costed, and built. Each project came in on time and within budget.  We couldn’t be more pleased.

Among the requirements for the different projects were  significant demolition, the raising of steel support beams and detailed work with special attention to matching stairways, woods and stains.  At each stage Kostaris Construction was professional, diligent, and consultative.  All the work done by sub-contractors was well-timed to prevent construction delays and monitored by Angelo Kostaris. Everyone on site worked safely and took care to protect our existing home.

An old-fashioned craftsman

Angelo and his small crew completed a major renovation/addition to our contemporary Bethesda home in 2003-04. The project involved completely remodeling the kitchen, bumping out the main floor in the front and back and creating a new master bedroom/bathroom level above the existing house. This substantial project was remarkably completed within seven months and through the winter no less! We lived in the house throughout the construction period, and watched Angelo and his crew work diligently from early morning until dinner time. Angelo is an old-fashioned craftsman who attends to every detail. We recommend him highly as an honest, hard-working, and talented builder.
